Dr. Richter arbeitete unermüdlich, um das Dreifaltigkeits-Krankenhaus Wesseling und die Abteilung für plastische Chirurgie bekannt zu machen.
Er nahm an hunderten internationalen Kongressen teil, publizierte viele wissenschaftliche Arbeiten und half so dabei, die Lid- und Gesichtschirurgie (Facelifts) sowie die Körperstraffungen weltweit voranzutreiben. Heute gilt er als eine internationale Koryphäe auf diesem Gebiet und hat sich insbesondere auf die Wiederherstellung missglückter kosmetischer Operationen spezialisiert.
Als Facharzt für plastische Chirurgie, erhielt Dr. Richter seine Spezialausbildung zum Teil an der Clinica Ivo Pitanguy in Brasilien und bei Professor Neven Olivari in Deutschland.
Gegenwärtig ist er Past President der International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), der größten internationalen Vereinigung von Fachärzten für ästhetisch-plastische Chirurgie. Dr. Richter war von 2018-2020 Präsident von ISAPS. ISAPS hat Mitglieder in derzeit 106 Ländern auf der ganzen Welt.
Herr Dr. Richter erhält weltweit viele nationale und internationale Einladungen zu Vorträgen auf führenden medizinischen Konferenzen, die er teilweise selbst organisiert (SOS Symposium). Er hat zahlreiche Buchkapitel verfasst und wissenschaftliche Artikel veröffentlicht. Er ist der Sektionsherausgeber für Okuloplastische Chirurgie im von Springer herausgegebenen Aesthetic Plastic Surgery-Journal.
Dank seiner harten Arbeit und seinem unerschütterlichen Engagement ist es ihm gelungen, vielen Menschen zu helfen, ihr Leben wieder in den Griff zu bekommen.
